WHAT IS PHP DASHBOARD VERSION 4.0?
PHP Dashboard v4.0, builds on top one of my other scripts HTML5 Dashboard Designer for the Cloud but leverages the power of PHP/MySQL to create a collaborative platform for dashboard creation and sharing. With the latest update, you can now feed charts from MySQL, Postgres, Excel or CSV data sources from ANY server on the web.

FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS – FROM THE NINJA I’m revisiting
the way data feeds each chart tile on your dashboard. The original
version had two ways to specify the data rendered on each
chart tile: 1) you can hand enter (“hard code”) the JSON data
or 2) you provide a URL to a JSON file or JSON outputting api

(and these files needed to reside on the same server the script code resides in because of CORS protection) which allows you to update your charts by just changing file/api on the server.

In the next few releases, I’ll be working on adding CSV and Excel support so that you can use these formats along with JSON to populate charts. I am also working on a direct interface to MySQL and Postgres DB’s so that charts can be populated directly from these databases.

Finally, it turns out PHP allows you to access files in other servers (unlike cors-protective javascript) which means you can access files that live on different servers! This opens up a new range of possibilities for collaboration.

All these changes are happening daily and you can monitor my progress on the ‘Live Preview’ here.

When you have a blob field and if JPG, PNG images are added, It will automatically create a image gallery besides table data. You can use any blob type. But If you need bigger files to be uploaded use long blob. If blob data are not recognized as images you can just download data. But rember blob data are just binary information of a file.

It’s a simple to use PHP, mySQL and Ajax based script to add city, state and country dropdown chained select list for your website. PHP mySQL User Location is a PHP based webapp that lets your website’s visitor choose or set country, region and city from mySQL database. Countries, regions (states, provinces, territory) and cities database associated with this app is light weight to facilitate import / export for localhost or online database server. It also contains country codes, region codes, longitudes and latitudes. Database has been broken down to small parts that can be imported separately from multiple files into phpMyAdmin.

How it is working?

When you use this coding in the inquiry field it will record the data as json format to the database in the first place. This record will be saved on memcache for a specific time set by you. If you do same inquiry during that specific time again the recorded data will be read and shown to user directly instead of getting data from database.

Sample explanation

For instance let’s assume that you have a video sharing site and getting data from database and shown to users. You’ll compulsorily do the same action again and again for each user and repeated mysql connection occurs. Instead of following this process again and again you can use this coding to keep your server less busy and get success easier.

What is SuperCache

SuperCache is an easy caching API for every project you might need. These classes reduces server load by using cache. There are three types of caching APC, Xcache, Memcache and FILE/SESSION cache. APC and Memcache uses the PHP Modules so make sure you install them first before using it. File cache doesn’t need anything special.

File caching keeps the cache inside the session and rewrites it to the filesystem so we can pick it up again when a user reconnects to the website

Description

DBConnection is a PHP class designed to facilitate the MySQL database management with an useful set of methods, that allows the programmer to manipulate the data with a simplified interface. This class offers to the programmer a full set of methods that allow to construct SQL queries of any complexity, using appropriate methods in each situation.

One of the main feature of this class is the ability to deal with the table relations, that allows you to manipulate a table without worrying about the related tables. You can define the relations between the tables using a simple syntax, based on an array notation. In the config.php file that comes with the project you have a template that you can adapt to your needs. You can see the whole content of the config.php file in the screenshots.
